4 ply fingering-weight yarn

Suggested Yarn:

Mr B Hiddleston 4ply (75% superwash merino wool/25% Nylon) (100g; 465 yds/425m)

Yarn Amounts:

  • Section 1 (Erithacus Rubecula): 10g; 47 yds/43m
  • Section 2 (Scuba): 10g; 47 yds/43m
  • Section 3 (Erithacus Rubecula & Shallows): total yarn 30g; 140 yds/128m (15g; 70 yds/64m of each colour for striped version shown in sample)
  • Section 4 (Scuba): 20g; 93 yds/85m
  • Section 5 (Shallows): 50g; 233 yds/213m
  • Section 5 (Old No 7): 35g; 163 yds/149m


18 sts and 40 Rounds = 4"/10cm

Gauge is not crucial for this project, however knitting to a different gauge will affect finished size and yarn requirements.


US 6 (4mm) 32”120cm or longer circular needle

Needle size is a suggestion only. Please use the needle size necessary for you to obtain gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
