HFS Pattern Release - Winterburn Cable Hat

We’ve designed the Winterburn Cable Hat specifically for baa ram ewe’s Winterburn DK yarn, a lovely blend of British wools spun and dyed in Yorkshire.

This is an easy pattern that is suitable for advance beginners and old pros alike.  It’s quick enough for a weekend project or last minute gift but interesting enough to make you want to keep going.  The result is a warm, head hugging beanie style hat.  The cables allow for lots of stretch to fit a variety of head sizes.

Using just 65g of DK yarn, this is a also a great project for the odds and ends in your yarn stash or just one 100g skein of that DK yarn you’ve had your eye on.

The pattern can be purchased as a downloadable pattern through our web site or through Ravelry.

You will need:

  • Approximately 65g DK Yarn
  • 16" circular or DPNs in sizes US5/3.75mm and US7/4.5mm for rib and body respectively
  • DPNs in size US7/4.5mm for crown
  • Stitch marker and tapestry needle
  • Optional: Pom Pom
