September Month of Makes & Musings

September was full of fibre goodness and travel adventures!

I participated in my first, (but surely not the last), FibreShare and met some lovely fibre lovers.  The folks at FibreShare match you up with fellow fibre lovers around the globe - one who will share with you and one that you will share with.  My share package ended up going all the way to Tennessee and I received some gorgeous goodies from someone in Montreal.  Super fun and I can't wait until the next one!

In September I finally finished the last bits of my Tegna sweater.  The linen/wool mix made it perfect for autumnal weather and it has such a lovely drape and fit.  I wasn't so sure I'd like it for myself, but it's fast become one of my favourites.  You can read my more detailed notes here on Ravelry.

Near the end of the month I made my first trip to Amsterdam.  What a great trip we had!  The weather was perfectly autumnal, we mixed site seeing with just general roaming around and spent one day in Haarlem.  We also met up with our son and his friends for an afternoon at a beer festival in the countryside, (a very civilised affair, in case you're wondering).

Yes, September was good to me.
